Today we watched the Sesame Street & CNN Stand Up to Racism Town Hall. It was an hour-long special designed for parents and children to start the conversation about racism.
The biggest takeaway was: we need both empathy + action to create change, so that’s just what we did. We made a sign and put it outside our front door. It says: Our Family Stands Up to Racism. Black Lives Matter. It also includes a link to resources for those that want to learn more. We are proud to display this sign at our home and work towards dismantling systems of oppression. If you didn’t get a chance to see the Sesame Street Town Hall, I will include the links below. It’s a good starting point, even for adults.
